Escaping Emily

Emily Wang is spiraling out of control. Lacking a purposeful path, forced to be the family’s breadwinner, and coping with her best friend’s death, she has a habit of escaping. Forced into grief counseling by her overbearing mother, she finds a way out through the cunning and ambitious Monica who offers her a role at a peculiar company. Emily finds immediate success and confidence but soon unravels when she discovers things aren’t what they seem, and that some exits are actually trapdoors.
